After ten years of driving operating Reasoned Production Wine, winemakers of Beaujolais wanted to go a step further by recognizing their professionalism with consumers. Thus in 1998, accompanied by the Chamber of Agriculture of the Rhone, they decided to create an association law 1901 : Terra Vitis®, with the aim of uniting growers practicing Reasoned Wine Production, to promote and recognize the concept of the Reasoned Wine Production business partners and consumers, to offer serious guarantees by the application of technical specifications, and offering consumers wines made from grapes grown in Production Reasoned.In 2009, after 10 years of practice of viticulture, wine producers Terra Vitis ® have wanted to go further by including in their approach and technical reference in their new elements: the management of water resources and air management biodiversity, management of soil resources and management of energy resources. This framework, established in 2009, integrates the three components of the definition of Sustainable Viticulture, economic aspects, technical and social.
